Initial Visit

Expect your initial visit to last at least 90 minutes. You will be asked to fill in a complete health history. In this intake we will talk in detail about your health. At the end of the intake I will form a diagnosis and put together a treatment plan for you. The treatment plan may suggest some combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, diet and lifestyle modifications. If I feel that I will be unable to help you, I will do my best to refer you someone that can. At this point you will decide if you wish to continue and have an acupuncture treatment that day.

I generally will not prescribe herbal medicine at the first treatment as I want to see how you respond to the first acupuncture treatment.

Subsequent Visits

Subsequent visits will be much shorter, generally around 45 minutes, We will review your experience during the week by asking a subset of the questions covered in the initial intake. This should take no more than 20 minutes. After which you will be given an acupuncture treatment following the same process as the initial visit.
